Editorial Statement:
Avante Journal is an open-access journal, meaning all content is freely available at no cost to users or their institutions. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles in this journal without requiring prior permission from the publisher or author. This aligns with the BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative) definition of open access.
The journal publishes one regular issue per year, with special editions based on specific calls for papers. Regular issues are published in November-December each year, while the publication dates of special editions vary and are announced in advance on our website.
The journal provides immediate and free access to all its articles under an open license, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, and use the content without legal or technical restrictions. Authors retain copyright but grant permissions for reuse under the terms of the Creative Commons license. This policy promotes accessibility and dissemination of academic knowledge, ensuring the published content is available at no cost to the global scientific community.
TYPES OF ARTICLES, SUBMISSION DATES, AND FORMAT
Avante Journal, part of the Observatorio Ñuble Foundation, publishes original articles that are the results of research, essays, reviews, systematization of processes, as well as theoretical innovations on debates, interpretations, or investigative assessments within the field of humanities and social sciences. Articles on other topics may also be authorized by the Editor, provided they aim at human development or are related to current affairs.
Submissions can be in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, but initial versions in other languages, such as French, Italian, or German, are also accepted. If approved, the author must provide the final version translated into Spanish. However, authors may request that the text be published in its entirety in the original language, which the journal will accept as long as the translation process is respected.
Submission dates for articles are announced in the respective calls for papers. Articles submitted to Avante Journal for evaluation must not be under review in another publication simultaneously. Authors are advised to read the journal’s Ethical Policies before submission.
Submissions must be made through the journal's platform. For any questions or additional requests, authors may contact: mgutierrez@observatorionuble.cl
Avante Journal also publishes special editions derived from public or open calls to encourage collaboration with educational, scientific, or academic institutions. These editions aim to foster joint work with organizations that contribute to knowledge development in the journal’s thematic areas, thereby promoting academic and scientific advancement in each addressed field.
