The article investigates how preschool education in Chillán promotes environmental awareness among boys and girls, contributing to the fight against climate change. Using a quantitative methodology based on surveys of preschool educators, the main activities carried out were identified, such as recycling, reuse of materials and garden care. Although most educators implement environmental activities, they face limitations in resources, time, and specific training. It is concluded that early childhood education is essential to instill sustainable habits from childhood, but greater training and institutional support is required to maximize its impact. Furthermore, the active participation of families is considered crucial to reinforce environmental learning in children. The study highlights the importance of improving pedagogical practices through continuous research and the development of educational policies that promote ecological awareness from early childhood.
