This research allows us to generally describe the capacity that Artificial Intelligence has to help solve various environmental tasks, such as greenhouse gases, carbon footprint, mainly, on the environment. This is why the environmental challenges that affect us today, such as climate change, the loss of biodiversity and pollution management, need to resort to novel resolution methods because the current ones cannot solve them alone. In this scenario, the large amount of data, AI and digital transformation can play an essential role in ensuring environmental sustainability and sustainable development. In order to allow research on the environment, and examine the use of Artificial Intelligence, for the management of environmental problems that affect the planet.
