Urbanization is a process that changes the way of life of people, in addition to the consumption habits, mobilization and rhythms of life of its inhabitants, also in the flora of the environment, causing such important phenomena as the change in temperatures of the intervened area, what is known as Heat Islands (ICU), producing problems for both the flora, fauna and inhabitants of the affected region. Heat islands produce various phenomena such as term stress, a process that affects people of different ages, especially that vulnerable population that presents health conditions such as high blood pressure or what is known as heat stroke. The situation of the city of Chillán is particularly particularized, an urban center of rural origin that has undergone important transformations, turning it into an area of concern due to its significant thermal variations.
